The Company

A leading international law firm are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to sit in their Real Estate division. The Senior BDM will sit within the central BD function and will report directly to the Head of Sectors. This role will lead on the sector & divisional business development and marketing strategy, aligning growth plans alongside tactical Marketing and Business Development delivery.

The Responsibilities

  • Setting and implementing the sector and divisional BD & Marketing strategy, aligned to the firms overall strategic growth plans.
  • Set and manage the BD & Marketing budget for the sector with the sector leadership in order to support the go to market strategy.  Work with the DMP & Divisional Exec to input into the Divisional BD budget and track spend.
  • Lead on relevant pitch opportunities and along with the sector and divisional leadership input into Bid/No Bid decisions.
  • Manage a team of two direct report, one Senior BD Executive aligned to the division, and one BD Coordinator aligned to the Sector.
  • Be the central point for reference for all BD & Marketing activity across the real estate sector and division.

The Candidate:

  • Able to lead a team and delegate to the most relevant individuals.
  • Work with specialist teams across BD to achieve objectives like Communications, Marketing, Clients, Bids and International.
  • Able to bring people together from multiple sectors and directorates to align support for BD projects. ·
  • Excellent communicator with confidence to interact professionally with senior leadership, other colleagues and externally.
  • Relevant sector / divisional knowledge is highly desirable, but the ability to learn about what we do and really understand the sector is a necessity.
