A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team based in London. The role-holder will play a vital role to execute key strategic initiatives and support the growth of a global sector group, through developing client relationships, new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. This role will lead the group for the UK and EMEA regions.

The Responsibilities:

  • Close collaboration with the Director of BD to facilitate revenue growth and develop client relationships across the firm’s global network.
  • Develop strategies in response to client issues, market trends, and developing initiatives for key sector clients.
  • Act as the point of contact for fee earners, providing guidance on existing clients and new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Proposals Team to support responses to RFPs, developing materials for prospects, leading pitches, and tracking opportunity wins/losses.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & BD team develop practice group content and materials, such as experience profiles, practice descriptions, and website sections.
  • Liaise with the Director of BD to implement firm wide plans and budgets for sector business development initiatives.
  • Provide support with external client events including seminars, conferences, trade shows, dinners and business development initiatives arising from these events.

The Candidate:

  • Previous BD experience working within a legal / professional services environment (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong experience working on pitch proposals, RFPs and capability statements
  • Experience or knowledge within the Litigation sector (Advantageous).
  • Educated to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Master’s degree a plus).
