An award-winning national law firm are looking for a Bid Manager to join their team based in Manchester. This role involves collaborating with business development professionals and partners, ensuring a streamlined bid process that showcases the firm’s premium services and commitment to client success.

The Responsibilities:

• Advise partners through bid strategies, helping to shape winning propositions.
• Oversee bid processes from scoping to document development, including editorial control and content writing.
• Manage the bid lifecycle, ensuring key messages, propositions, and pricing strategies are well-crafted and competitive.
• Collaborate with the Pricing team to challenge and develop pricing models.
• Work with BD professionals, associates, and partners to ensure bids align with client needs and sector expertise.
• Collaborate with design teams on bid presentation and support bid teams during pitch presentations.
• Conduct post-bid debriefs with both clients and internal teams to gather insights and share best practices for future improvements.
• Contribute to the development of bid collateral, improve bid processes, and ensure data and deal information is properly available for future opportunities.

The Candidate:

• Proven experience managing bids in a legal or professional services environment.
• Demonstrable excellent project management skills under tight deadlines.
• Commercial acumen, understanding various pricing models and market developments to shape compelling bids.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
