Blue Legal are delighted to announce we have partnered with an award-winning national law firm to recruit a Business Development Executive for their Edinburgh or Glasgow office. The role-holder will provide support with the delivery of business development and marketing initiatives for the firm’s Property and Infrastructure division.

The Responsibilities:

  • Provide both strategic and practical BD support to the firm’s Property and Infrastructure practice and the Government & Public sector.
  • Undertake market, sector and client research and analysis to support key clients, events, tender responses, prospect identification and other BD activities.
  • Assist the BD Manager with the delivery of activities required under BD plans
  • Working together with lead partners to develop and implement market-specific BD strategies and plans for the relevant sectors, in line with the firm’s strategic priorities.
  • Support partners and other lawyers to carry out the activities required to meet practice and sector group objectives
  • Mentoring and supporting the ongoing development of lawyers’ BD knowledge and skills.
  • Build relationships with lawyers and other colleagues as required to execute BD activities and plans.

The Candidate:

  • At least two years’ experience in a BD or marketing role ideally within professional services.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Excellent competency and skills using MS Office packages.
