A leading regional law firm are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. The role will report to the BD Director and will have the opportunity for hybrid working. The role will involve marketing the firm, and its sectors whilst maintaining client relationships.

The Responsibilities:

• Leading on business development strategies, plans and projects.
• Identify and organise networking and profile-raising and help with training needs for lawyers e.g. pitching and sales
• Collaborate and support the Bid Manager and Copywriters in tender/proposal writing.
• Work closely with the events team in managing essential BD events for Key clients
• Support the PR/Social media team in to ensuring optimal exposure in both traditional media and social media platforms for practice groups and their lawyers.
• Maximise membership and sponsorship relationships for brand/new business promotion.
• Support the BD and Marketing Director and Content Managers by preparing pitch documents, rehearsals and writing work winning tenders/proposals. 

The Candidate:

• Degree level education, ideally in a relevant subject (business, marketing or public relations).
• Knowledge of marketing / BD processes for professional services is desirable.
• Good understanding of the North East business environment.
• Broad-based business experience, including external affairs, marketing and communications.
