A leading London-based law firm is looking for an Events Manager to join their fast-paced and ambitious marketing and business development department. The ideal candidate will have in- depth involved in the identification and planning phases for events, making recommendations to stakeholders and the team, and providing effective, full-service events support. The role will involve working very closely with the development team, as well as key stakeholders in the wider business.
The Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive event management services for clients, intermediaries, and internal events.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure they are well-informed and engaged throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to policies, guidelines, and best practices to maintain consistency, cost management, and high levels of satisfaction.
- Review and evaluate events and hospitality to measure their effectiveness and differentiation against competitors.
- Manage a variety of events, from large-scale gatherings to smaller dinners, including post-event administration and cost reconciliation.

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers for competitive pricing and budget planning, while tracking event statistics to monitor spending.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams, guide event best practices, and maintain supplier relationships.
The Candidate:
- Extensive experience in event management within a corporate or professional services environment, with a track record of executing successful, measurable events across various types (seminars, conferences, dinners, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously, manage projects, solve problems, and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Commercially minded with excellent negotiating skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to change, and work under pressure.
- Skilled in communication, team alignment, and using IT tools for event management and e-marketing; willing to work extra hours when needed.
