An award-winning national law firm is looking for an Events Manager to join their team. The Events Manager will be required to work with the wider Marketing & BD team, to develop and implement plans for successful client events aligned with the strategic priorities and objectives of the firm, practice groups and sector teams. The role-holder will also be responsible for the management of large internal meetings and events, including the Annual Partners Conferences. This role is a maternity cover for 12 months, based in the firm’s London office.
The Responsibilities:
- Take lead on the organisation and execution of events, working with the BD & Marketing team to ensure quality event experience and promote best practice.
- Responsible for managing the firmwide events calendar and co-ordinating events/meetings simultaneously as needed.
- Develop detailed event projects, ensuring the team are informed about roles, actions and deadlines, keeping track on progress and identifying any areas of concern.
- Confirming event schedules with the venue and suppliers, ensuring event needs and specifications are met.
- Demonstrate proficiency in working with venue sourcing agencies, evaluating proposals, and presenting information in a stakeholder-friendly manner.
- Take ownership of internal event resources/tools, such as events tracker and Intranet pages, ensuring their accuracy and relevance.
- Measuring event ROI by capturing and reviewing attendance against engagement metrics, and reporting to Chief Marketing Officers.
- Develop and manage budgets for specific events and handle payment of event supplier invoices.
The Candidate:
- Previous events experience working in a legal / professional services firm.
- Expertise in delivering BD driven client events, including all stages of event planning.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems (InterAction), and e-marketing tools (e.g. Vuture).
- Knowledge of a range of online event platforms – MS Teams and Zoom.
