Blue Legal are pleased to partner with a global leader in legal services to introduce a Senior Business Development Executive / Manager position in the firms IP/Technology practice. The firm offers an opportunity to join a collaborative and conscientious team with the opportunity to develop. You will be responsible for business development activity across three core practices within the group, working closely with fee earners and partners, harnessing relationships and identifying new business opportunities. This is a 50% hybrid role which can be based in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol or Leeds.

The Responsibilities:

• Join a team of 4 BD professionals to support an integrated group of IP and Technology & Media lawyers working on market-defining mandates for major global brands.
• Support partners in targeting potential clients and developing existing relationships.
• Stay updated on relevant developments, legislation, and regulations to enhance department knowledge and provide informed BD recommendations.
• Create engaging pitch documents and presentations to strengthen client relationships.
• Utilise networking opportunities to build BD knowledge, promote the firms strategy, and enhance the firm’s profile.
• Coordinate and host internal and external events, seminars, webinars, and social activities.
• Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns and prepare legal directory and award submissions for higher rankings.
• Contribute to business planning, including budgeting and monitoring spend, and maintain BD systems and infrastructure.

The Candidate:

• Experience in business development gained in a law firm environment.
• Ability to develop strong relationships, network and manage stakeholders
• Experience working in a matrix organisation
• A professional qualification in marketing, business or a related filed is preferred.
